Peter Eichstädt (born June 9, 1946 in Berlin ) is a former German track cyclist and today's supervisor of a cycling team .

Athletic career

Peter Eichstädt, who competed for TSC Berlin , won a GDR championship title in track cycling four times in the 1970s . In 1972 he became champion in sprint and tandem races with Klaus-Jürgen Grünke . In 1973 he was able to repeat this success with Grünke on the tandem. In 1976 he was GDR sprint champion for a second time. He competed twice at the UCI World Railroad Championships in sprinting: in 1974 he finished fifth, the following year he was unplaced.

Professional

Today Eichstädt works as a supervisor for the Ked Bianchi team in Berlin (as of 2018).
