Konrad Irmschler

Konrad Irmschler (* 1940 in Berlin ) is a former German cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

Irmschler was a specialist in short-distance races on the track . In 1960 and 1963 he was GDR champion in tandem races with his partner Jürgen Simon . In 1961 both finished second in the championship races. In 1961 he won the bronze medal and silver on the tandem at the GDR championships in the sprint . In 1960 he was GDR champion with his club mate Konrad Nentwig in two-man team driving . In the early 1960s he was a member of the GDR national railway team. Irmschler started for SC Einheit Berlin (later SC Dynamo Berlin ).
