from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Kolešovice depot (also known as the Kolešovice hoard ) is a depot find of the Early Bronze Age Aunjetitz culture from Kolešovice in Středočeský kraj , Czech Republic . It dates between 2000 and 1800 BC. Today the depot is in the Natural History Museum Vienna .

Find history

The depot was first mentioned in 1903. The exact time and circumstances of the find are unknown. "Wokwolitze" is specified as the place where it was found in the files of the Natural History Museum. This is a distortion. In fact, Wokrouhlitz or the parcel of Wokrolitze near Kolešovice is meant.

A single find of an early Bronze Age marginal ridge ax is known from Kolešovice.

composition

The depot consists of two bronze eyelet neck rings , one of which is deformed.
