Kyšice depot
The Kyšice Depot (also known as the Kyšice hoard ) is a depot find of the Early Bronze Age Aunjetitz culture from Kyšice u Plzně in Plzeňský kraj , Czech Republic . It dates to between 1800 and 1600 BC. Today the depot is divided between the National Museum in Prague and the West Bohemian Museum in Pilsen .
Find history
The depot was found by workers in a crevice in 1879. The site is said to have been a hill made of slate called "Čerma", ten minutes away from the village. Since this name is not recorded in old maps, the exact location of the site is unclear today.
composition
The depot consists of three bronze objects : two margin axes and a heel hatchet . The edge ridge axes have arched edges and a narrowly cut neck, the heel axes have a squat, heart-shaped rest. The edge ridge axes are now in Pilsen, the heel axes in Prague.
