Nadelwitz depot

The Nadelwitz depot is an archaeological depot remains and an individual find from the late Early Bronze Age , which was discovered near Nadelwitz , a district of Bautzen .

The remains of the hoard were found free in the ground during quarry work on the south-eastern slope of the Schafberg, the individual find in 1960 also from the gravel pit in the vicinity of the depot site. It consisted of at least two identical lance tips and two marginal ridge axes , of which only one piece exists. The heel ax of the individual find (possibly belonging to a grave) embodies the somewhat younger type of ax following the marginal ridge ax. Both types can also occur together. The dating around 1600 BC Chr. Assigns the find to the Aunjetitz culture .

The remaining finds are now in the Bautzen Museum .
