The Cachinche Reservoir ( Spanish Embalse de Cachinche ) is a reservoir in Venezuela .
It is located about 20 kilometers (as the crow flies) east of the district capital Tinaquillo in the northern part of the state of Cojedes .
The lake has very rugged bays. It is almost 400 m above sea level. Its water is warm, around 30 ° C. In the east-west direction the lake is more than 5 km long, in the north-south direction it is almost 3 km wide.
There are small islands in the lake. There is fishing. The following fish species are reported: Geophagus , Crenicichla , C. kraussii and tetra .
