Okna depot

The Okna Depot (also known as the Okna hoard ) is a depot find of the Early Bronze Age Aunjetitz culture from Okna in Liberecký kraj , Czech Republic . It dates between 2000 and 1800 BC. The depot is now in the National Museum in Prague .

Find history

The depot was discovered before 1900. The exact location and the circumstances of the find are unknown.

composition

The depot consists of two bronze objects : a full-grip dagger and a dagger blade. The dagger has an undecorated handle, which is composed of two identical parts and connected to the staple plate by five rivets. The single blade has twelve rivet holes. Both blades have a groove in the upper area with a decor of diagonally hatched triangles.
