Okna (German: Woken b. Hirschberg ) is a municipality in the Okres Česká Lípa in the Liberec region in the north of the Czech Republic and is located west of the Bezděz (Bösig) mountain . It is located on the upper reaches of the Okenský creek .
history
The name Okna is believed to be of Slavic origin. The first written mention comes from the year 1369. At that time it belonged to the domain of the lords of Bezděz, the church to the German deanery. The community changed hands several times, including the families of Cebuze, Javic and Berka von Dubá on chicken water. From the middle of the 19th century, Okna formed a parish in the judicial district and Dauba district .
