Bohatice (German Voitsdorf ) is a municipality in the Okres Česká Lípa in the Liberec region in the north of the Czech Republic , south of the Lusatian Mountains .
Bohatice is halfway between Zákupy (Reichstadt) and Mimoň (Niemes) . The settlement was first mentioned in 1371. From the middle of the 19th century Voitsdorf formed a municipality in the judicial district of Niemes or in the district of Bohemian Leipa . Today Bohatice is a center of horse breeding and equestrian sports; in the place is the "Nord ranč".
