Krompach (German Krombach ) is a municipality of the Okres Česká Lípa in the Liberec region in the north of the Czech Republic .

Geographical location
Krompach is located on the southern slope of the Zittau Mountains . The resort is located in the valley of the Krompašský potok under the high forest (Hvozd) .
Community structure
The municipality of Krompach consists of the districts Juliovka (Juliusthal) , Krompach (Krombach) and Valy (Schanzendorf) . The only basic settlement unit is Krompach.

history
In 1391 the settlement was first mentioned as a village with mills belonging to the Milštejn estate. Before 1549 the village was known as the village of glassmakers. In 1687, Julius Franz von Sachsen-Lauenburg , then owner of the Reichstadt estate , founded a glassworks in Juliustal. Later home weaving developed in the village. From the 19th century the area became a recreational area.
There are two hiking trails to Germany from the district of Valy; one leads to the health resort Jonsdorf and the other to Hain . In 2011 the border crossing on the road to Jonsdorf was also opened to cars.
