Ostro depot

The Ostro depot is an archaeological depot from the Early Bronze Age that was discovered near Ostro in the Panschwitz-Kuckau community ( Bautzen district ).

The depot was found about 1 m deep in the sand on the way to Elstra in 1906 . It consists of three round rod neck rings , a round rod neck ring with smooth ends and two embossed round tin jewelry disks with a conical hump in the middle. The decorative disks also have two fastening holes attached next to one another and an ornament of circumferential rows of triangles and diagonally hatched bands. They have a maximum diameter of 10.4 cm and a weight of 32 g each. The main distribution of the jewelry disks is in the Danube area. The dating to a period from 1800 to 1600 BC Chr. Assigns the find to the Aunjetitz culture .

Today the find is in the Museum Bautzen .
