Páleček depot

The Páleček depot (also known as the Páleček hoard ) is a depot find of the Early Bronze Age Aunjetitz culture from Páleček , a district of Klobuky in Středočeský kraj , Czech Republic . It dates between 2000 and 1800 BC. The depot is now in the Slaný Museum .

Find history

The depot was discovered south of Páleček on parcel 221 in the “Nad vsí” or “Na vrchu” location. The exact date of the find and the circumstances of the find are unknown. The depot was first mentioned in 1925.

composition

The depot consists of six bronze objects : two arm spirals , two massive oval rings and two bar arm rings. The spirals are cylindrical and made of ribbons with a roof-shaped cross-section. One specimen has tapered, rounded ends. With the other, the ends have recently broken off. The oval rings come from the same mold. They have tapered ends with a grooved pattern. The cast seams on the inside and outside were sanded off. The rings each have three holes with a diameter of 3 mm. The bar arm rings have blunt ends.
