Der Lauscher is an early modern periodical that appeared in Berlin in 1786 in 12 issues.

The work was published weekly without a precise date on Saturdays by the Berlin printer Peter Bourdeaux, the volume per issue, referred to as a piece, is 16 pages in small format. "Der Lauscher" himself, "Blumbach" and "Timon" are named as pseudonymised authors. Bourdeuax had printed several anonymous works around this time. The content of the periodical dealt with social issues in Berlin in the form of glosses .

The entire edition was digitized as part of the VD 18 program. The anonymity of the three people named so far has not yet been revealed. So far there has been no language analysis or humanities analysis of the texts, but the booklets have also been distributed outside of Berlin.
