The police report reports ... - A broadcast by Jürgen Roland in cooperation with the criminal police on combating and investigating crimes is the full title of a black and white production that was first broadcast in October 1953 by the then Northwest German Broadcasting Corporation .
content
The police report reports ... was the first documentary police series of its kind on German television and based on the US crime series Police Report (original title Dragnet ), which first went on air in 1951. The individual cases were based on actual occurrences, some had already been resolved and were re-enacted on film. In the studio they were commented on by Jürgen Roland and Carl Breuer , the then Chief Executive of the Hamburg Criminal Police . In addition, wanted reports from the police were read out.
Others
Jürgen Roland later adopted the concept of the series for his Stahlnetz series , where he continued the collaboration with author Wolfgang Menge. In terms of its design, The police report reports ... can also be viewed as a forerunner of the series of file numbers XY ... unresolved , which has been broadcast since 1967 .
The individual episodes were of different lengths, between 15 and 60 minutes. They were broadcast at irregular intervals, on different days of the week and at different times, but generally after 8:15 p.m. The only exception to this were the last two episodes, which were only produced in 1961 and only broadcast in the regional program of North German Radio .
