Der Schtern (Yiddish דער שטערן) was a Yiddish-language newspaper in Kharkov , Ukraine from 1925 to 1941. It was an organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine (Bolsheviks) .

The first edition appeared in May 1925. She was the successor to the newspaper Komunistische fon . It reached a circulation of up to 12,000 copies sold daily, surpassing the Emes from Moscow and Oktyabr from Minsk . The editor was M. Lewitan.

In June 1941, the newspaper had to stop its publication after the German invasion of Ukraine .
