Corrib lake
Corrib Lake is a fairy tale . It is contained in the Irish fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm at position 24, which they translated in 1825 from Fairy legends and traditions of the South of Ireland by Thomas Crofton Croker .

Cormak's lover Marie suddenly disappears. He can't find her anywhere and sits by Lake Corrib every evening . Once in the full moon he saw a train of airy figures in splendid armor ride across the water. He calls out “Christ, save your soul!” And she stands next to him.

According to Grimm: The original text is a ballad, but according to the author it was initially a saga like the others. Also, Gervase of Tilbury mentions Dracae who kidnap people in homes under water. In addition to a pious exclamation, a black-handled knife or turning the dress around helps.
