The Wolli

The Wolli (born February 14, 1974 in Helmstedt as Markus Wolff ) is a north German comedian and entertainer .

Career

Even during his school days, Wolff enjoyed giving lectures in his class and producing himself on the stage. Later he also played in amateur play groups .

In 1996 he and friends founded the punk rock band Marys forbidden Dreams in Celle , where he was responsible for guitar and vocals and where he wrote songs. With the band he had various appearances in the Hanover / Braunschweig area. In 1999 he left the band. In the following years he was active in other formations.

In May 2006 he had his first appearance as a comedian on the Klara Koch Show in Hamburg . Shortly afterwards he played with Mathilde's neighbors (later Comedy Shower) . Both were so-called open comedy mic's that took place monthly and where everyone who wanted to entertain the audience got a 10-minute performance. Here he made his first contacts with the Hamburg comedy scene and was a regular guest on both shows, occasionally also as a presenter.

In 2008 he became aware of the artist agency Kultur Marie , where he was under contract for 10 years. In 2012 his first full-length program premiered. In the same year he played for the first time and since then regularly in the Quatsch Comedy Club , at Nightwash , at the comic night and in the midnight show at the Schmidt Theater in Hamburg .

From 2012 to 2014 he was a member of the Olivia Jones Show Club . Since 2015 he can be seen regularly as a guest artist on AIDA cruise ships . His second stage program premiered in 2016. Since 2018 he has moderated the Schmidt Midnight Show on a regular basis . Wolff lives in Hamburg.
