The individualistic anarchist was one of the few German-language anarchist magazines that took the position of individualistic anarchism . It was published in 12 editions by Benedict Lachmann's publishing house .

The editor and publisher Benedict Lachmann put in the no. 1 dated 16 August 1919, the magazine that the purpose of "giving the movement of individualistic anarchism a broader basis." At the suggestion Lachmann was the most 15 August 1919 individualistic union anarchists founded in Berlin.

An association of the same name existed in Vienna from 1910 to 1913. The associations in Berlin and Vienna only existed for a short time. Bernhard Zack published a correspondence sheet for the Association of Individualist Anarchists in 1911 . He also edited the Propaganda of Individualist Anarchism series with John Henry Mackay from 1907 to 1919.

The individualistic anarchist should make it possible to discuss the theoretical foundations of this anarchist current on the basis of the relevant literature, above all by Max Stirner and John Henry Mackay, and to take a position on current issues. With an average of 40 pages, the paper first appeared twice a month, later on irregularly. Articles and texts by Fritz Gross, Gerhard Lehmann , Kurt Sonnenfeld, Leo Tolstoi , Max Stirner, Hugo Jansen, Henry David Thoreau , Heinz Blücher and others have been published.
