The Little King is a book, radio play and cartoon series, written, drawn and animated by Hedwig Munck . Became known Little King , among others, by the children's show our Sandman , where the series regularly as Abendgruß be seen.

The little king is 4–5 years old and lives with his friends: the horse Grete, the dog Wuff, the cat Tiger and the squirrel Buschel in a large castle. He is a strong figure of love and identification for children and is also fun for their parents and grandparents with amazing solutions. Everyday occurrences, which as an adult could easily lose your nerve, are depicted in these short film stories.

Hans Jochen Menzel gives the characters his voice. The little princess is spoken by Ilona Schulz , who also sings the little king's songs. The cartoon series was produced by Imediat GbR, Berlin, on behalf of the RBB .
