Little Spirou (in the original: Le petit Spirou ) is the main character in a comic series of one-sided and six-page episodes of the same name developed by Tome and Janry in 1987 , which is colored by Stéphane de Becker .

The series deals with the childhood of the well-known comic hero Spirou and revolves primarily around the central themes that concern children. It has its origins in the Spirou episode "Sins of Youth" (original: La jeunesse de Spirou ) in the "Spirou and Fantasio" volume No. 36 from 1987 of the same name.

Originally, the gags were set in a 1950s ambience to illustrate the reference to the "great" Spirou. Due to its great success, however, the series became independent and has now arrived in the present (cell phones, current fashion, etc.).

main characters

children

  • Willy Meier (French: Vertignasse , called Vert ): Willy is Spirou's best friend.
  • Susi Wilke (French: Suzette ): She is the "fiancée" of little Spirous and sometimes quite headstrong.
  • Bulli (alias Theo Bullrich , French Nicolas Ponchelot ): He is another friend of Spirou who likes to eat and, according to Spirou, will one day burst.
  • Cassius ( aka Cyprian Tutu , French Cassius aka Cyprien Futu ): A pretty strong friend of African descent, whose father is the school chef.
  • Spacki (sometimes also Michael A. , French masseur ): A big, but not particularly clever friend.
  • Johannes-Baptist (French: André-Baptiste Depérinconu ): Is he the priest's hidden son? Anyway, it looks like a perfect copy in young.

Adults

  • Gym teacher Jahn (French: Monsieur [Désiré] Mégot ): Although he is a sports teacher, he is still a big fan of beer and cigarettes. Otherwise it is difficult to see pleasure in sporting activities - thanks to your belly and all the lazing around -. He is very much hated by the children because he harasses them all the time.
  • Pastor Hyazinth Steiner (French: L'abbé Langelusse ): A pastor who always has new ideas on how to praise God and save the souls of his protégés, which usually ends in catastrophes.
  • Miss Chiffre (French: Mademoiselle Claudia Chiffre ): She is the pretty math teacher Spirous. On her secret dates with Melchior Knieweich, she is often watched by Spirou and his friends. Her original name is an allusion to the German model Claudia Schiffer.
  • Melchior Knieweich (French: Melchior Dugenou ): A shy and clumsy teacher with large glasses who is Fräulein Chiffre's (secret) friend. At night he goes on a search for criminals as a "spider web man".
  • Grandpa (French: Pépé Spirou ): He is the dearest adult of little Spirous, because - despite his advanced age - he still behaves very youthfully and understands Spirou better than the others.
  • Miss Hermine (French: Madame Gourmandine ): She is grandpa's fiancee.
  • Grandma (French: Grand-Mamy ): She is Spirous' pessimistic and for her age quite "cool" grandma, whom he rarely visits because of her difficult character.
  • Mama (French: Maman Spirou ): Spirou's mother.
