The Upper Silesian Kurier was a Catholic daily newspaper from Königshütte / Kattowitz founded in 1906 .

In addition to the main business in Kattowitz and Königshütte, the newspaper had branches in 1919 in Beuthen, Hindenburg, Laurahütte, Myslowitz and Rybnik.

history

This newspaper was founded in 1906 by the brothers Fritz and Alfred Wenske in Königshütte . The newspaper was always strictly Catholic.

In 1919 the Upper Silesian courier had a circulation of 50,000 copies.

In 1922 the newspaper became the organ of the Catholic People's Party (until 1921: ZENTRUM ).
