The ultimate Spider-Man

The Ultimate Spider-Man (original: Ultimate Spider-Man ) is a discontinued comic series about the fictional hero Spider-Man , which Marvel Comics published in October 2000 in the United States. The series is a modernized version of Marvel's Spider-Man series, which has been successful for decades. The action is set in an alternate universe. The series is authored by Brian Michael Bendis , the draftsman up to issue 110 was Mark Bagley , after which Stuart Immonen took over as a regular draftsman.

In Germany, the series was renamed "Ultimate Spider-Man" after the large crossover series "Ultimatum", while the American edition continued under "Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man". With the 160th edition of "Ultimate Spider-Man" the series ended with Peter Parker aka Spider-Man's death in defense of his aunt against his archenemy, the Green Goblin. The series continues with the new Spider-Man Miles Morales, now also in Germany as "Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man".

An animated series was also released in 2012 under the title Ultimate Spider-Man .
