The Derlingau (also Darlingau) was a Saxon Gaugrafschaft and part of the Saxon province Ostfalen .
Geographical location
Derlingau was located in what is now Lower Saxony, east of the city of Braunschweig . The Derlingau was separated from the Harzgau by the Great Rift near Oschersleben in the south and extended to the Oker in the west and to the North Thuringia in the east . In the north, the Heilangau and the Wittingau bordered the Derlingau.
