Dermatologic Surgery , or Dermatol for short . Surg. , is a scientific journal published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins Publishers on behalf of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery . The journal was founded in 1975 under the name The Journal of Dermatologic Surgery , expanded the name to Journal of Dermatologic Surgery and Oncology in 1977 before shortening the name to Dermatologic Surgery in 1995 . It appears twelve issues a year. Works are published that deal with the application of surgical methods in dermatology.
