Dermatotoxic

A chemical substance is dermatotoxic (from ancient Greek δέρμα derma , German 'skin' and τοξικότητα toxikón , German 'toxicity' ) if it has a damaging effect on the skin . This can manifest itself through degreasing of the skin, skin irritation , irritation and eczema , in the case of a dermato- necrotic substance through dying tissue. Various solvents can be harmful to the skin, for example acetone or acetic acid .
