Irritation is a method for examining the excitability of cells , tissues and organs and for influencing the function of these structures and the parts of the body that they influence. The main targets are the nerve and muscle tissue , the sensory organs and the brain . Adequate stimuli are used , e.g. B. light for the eye or electrical current, the parameters of which are particularly easy to control.
