Deserted Palace is the first studio album by French musician Jean-Michel Jarre . It was released in 1972 by Sam Fox Records.

Specialty

The first studio album Jarres was released in 1972 in small editions on the US record label Sam Fox Productions , which was specialized in the production of everyday music. The pieces were therefore intended as musical accompaniment, for example, for film or television productions. Accordingly, unlike Oxygène , it is not a coherent work, but a collection of very different pieces.

The album was not released again, despite the great success of the following Jarres albums, but is in circulation as a bootleg . In 2011, six tracks from the album were first released on CD on the compilation album Essentials & Rarities .
