Desiree Di Benedetto (born May 12, 2000 in Florence ) is an Italian chess player . She received the titles of International Women's Champion (WIM) and FIDE Master (FM) from FIDE in 2017 .

She achieved the norms for her WIM title at the 2016 Chess Olympiad in Baku for her result of 6 points from 9 games and at an IM tournament in Montebelluna in September 2016. With the Italian women's selection, Di Benedetto took part in the 2016 and 2018 chess Olympiads as well of the European Team Championship 2017. She plays club chess for the team of SS Lazio Scacchi , with whom she took part in the 2016 European Club Cup women, and in Spain for CA Collado Villalba . Di Benedetto's younger brother Edoardo also holds the title of FIDE Master.
