Destinity is a French melodic death metal band from Lyon .
history
Destinity was founded in 1996 by guitarist Stephan Barboni, singer Mick and drummer Florent Barboni. At the beginning the band played black metal. Since 2004 with the album In Excelsis Dementia more death metal elements appeared and the band's popularity increased.
In 2006 Destinity toured the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and Switzerland with Decapitated . They then released their live DVD 666% Thrashened Extreme Music . The following year brought a contract with Lifeforce Records .
In November 2012, Resolve was released in Crimson , the band's eighth studio album. A European tour with Deicide has been announced for March 2013 .
On July 18, 2013, the band announced on their Facebook page that they were looking for a new singer, which they found in Yan Pierrat towards the end of the year.
