Detmar Doering

Detmar Doering (* 1957 ) is a German philosopher and publicist .

Life

Doering studied philosophy and history at the University of Cologne and University College London . 1988/89 he was at the University of Cologne to Dr. phil. PhD . He writes for The European and is curiously free and is a member of the Mont Pelerin Society .

Doering was a co-founder of the Young Liberals in Leverkusen and from 1980 to 1982 first state chairman of the Young Liberals in North Rhine-Westphalia.

In 1990 Doering became a scientific consultant at the research institute of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in Königswinter . From 2003 to 2015 he was head of the Liberal Institute of the Naumann Foundation in Potsdam and since 2017 he has been the project manager for Central Europe and the Baltic States based in Prague .

Doering is married to Lieselotte Stockhausen-Doering and has one daughter.
