The Franco-German Secretariat for Exchange in Vocational Education and Training (DFS) is an institution founded in 1980 to support the exchange between Germans and French.

history

On February 5, 1980, the Foreign Ministers of the Federal Republic of Germany and the French Republic signed an agreement on the implementation of an exchange of young people and adults in vocational training or further training. Since then, over 100,000 vocational training participants have passed through the DFS. Since June 1, 2018, DFS has been operating under the new name "ProTandem - German-French Agency for Exchange in Vocational Education".
