The German-Libyan Chamber of Commerce ( DLHK ; Arabic الغرفة التجارية الألمانية-الليبية, DMG al-ġurfa at-tiǧāriyya al-almāniyya al-lībiyya ) is a registered association for the promotion of economic exchange between the Federal Republic of Germany and Libya , based in Berlin .
history
After the civil war in Libya in 2011 , it was in the common interest of all those affected to revive economic traffic between Libya and one of its most important trading partners, the Federal Republic of Germany. For this purpose, the German-Libyan Chamber of Commerce was established by the umbrella organization of the Libyan chambers of industry and commerce and the Libyan embassy in Berlin. The entry in the register of associations of the Berlin-Charlottenburg District Court took place in 2013.
goals and tasks
The purpose of the association is to strengthen and promote economic, industrial and cultural relations between Libya and Germany. In this context, the German-Libyan Chamber of Commerce promotes the establishment of German companies in Libyan business premises through dialogue and mediation, as well as through the organization of congresses and forums and participation in relevant trade fairs.
The close cooperation with the umbrella organization of the Libyan chambers of commerce (General Libyan Union of Chambers) creates an interface for the Libyan market that is implemented in Germany with various cooperation partners such as the chambers of industry and commerce .
Other partners for establishing an economic and educational network include the Libyan Customs, the University in Tripoli and the NOC Libya .
Export of goods
Since June 2014, the German-Libyan Chamber of Commerce has been checking import documents for Libya and certifying them according to their admissibility according to the current customs and import regulations from Libya. Letters of Credit are simplified and accelerated for the export of goods to Libya.
