German-Soviet friendship (mosaic column)

The German-Soviet friendship is a round mosaic pillar in the Berlin district of Marzahn in the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district .

description

The mosaic column was erected on November 18, 1985 by Herbert Bergmann-Hannak at Walter-Felsenstein-Straße 18 and is 4.50 meters high. It is made of concrete and glass mosaic that is slightly damaged. The mosaic combines the city motifs of Berlin and Moscow, which are amicably staged by bouquets of flowers. It should also remind of the topic of the Society for German-Soviet Friendship .
