German class
Deutsch Klasse is a 13-part German for foreigners series by BR-alpha from 2003, the educational channel of the Bavarian radio.
It is a fictional series. There is also a didactic version in which the main actors ( Aykut Kayacık , Lale Yanık , Otana Mirza , Jurij Rosstalnyj and Carol Oduor Puster ) step out of their roles and take on explanations.
The then President of the German Adult Education Association and former President of the Bundestag Rita Süssmuth described the program as important for “good cooperation between Germans and immigrants. For that we need more integration . The key to integration is language. Deutsch Klasse makes a considerable contribution to language teaching ”.
German class is also available on DVD.
In 2004 the website was awarded the Prix Italia and received a nomination for the Grimme Online Award.
Broadcast dates
After the first broadcast in 2003 there were several reruns, most recently in September 2015 on Bayrischer Rundfunk (ARD-alpha).
