Baltic German Biographical Lexicon 1710–1960

The Baltic German Biographical Lexicon 1710–1960 is a biographical reference work on the Baltic Germans . It was started by Olaf Welding on behalf of the Baltic Historical Commission and published by Wilhelm Lenz with the collaboration of Erik Amburger and Georg von Krusenstjern in 1970 at Böhlau-Verlag , Cologne / Vienna. In 1998 an unchanged reprint was published by Harro von Hirschheydt .

It belongs to the list of “Technical Reference Works for the Common Authority File ” with the citation form “Dt.-balt. biogr. Lex. "

It forms the basis for the BBLD - Baltic Biographical Lexicon digital project , which is published by the Baltic Historical Commission and went online in 2012.
