The German Lawyers ' Information is an online legal portal launched by the German Lawyers' Association (DAV).
history
The German lawyer information originally went online in 1999 as a supplement to a telephone service. Employees of the DAV initially put those seeking law and advice to a lawyer by telephone . This service should now also be possible on the website via a search engine. Over the years, the website has been supplemented with news on judgments and finally relaunched as a legal online magazine in 2013. The "lawyer search" function was retained alongside the addition of an editorial part.

The German lawyer information is currently structured in two parts: Via the “lawyer search”, users of the website can find legal counsel. According to the operator, the database contains the data / addresses of 67,000 lawyers. You can get initial information on legal issues in the “Magazine” and “Advice” sections. The focus of the reporting is primarily on consumer issues. The editorial spectrum in the magazine and guide ranges from brief reports on court judgments, background reports and reports to comments and interviews . This offer is supplemented by video series and podcasts .

The editorial team compares various lawyer search portals. The German lawyer information is one of the test winners. At anwaltauskunft.de, the editors found most of the lawyers from all search portals for the individual search queries.
