Society for the History of Science, Medicine and Technology

The Society for the History of Science, Medicine and Technology (GWMT) is a German scientific-historical specialist society . Its headquarters are in Frankfurt am Main . It was founded in 1901 under the name of the German Society for the History of Medicine and the Natural Sciences by Karl Sudhoff with the participation of Friedrich Helreich and, according to its self-image, is the oldest scientific history professional association worldwide. It publishes a newsletter twice a year and, from 2008, the NTM - Journal for the History of Science, Technology and Medicine .
