The German Society for Aviation and Space Medicine (DGLRM) is a scientific society founded in 1961, which is dedicated to research into aerospace medicine issues. Particular attention is paid to the practical improvement of security in the aerospace industry.

Around 90% of the civilian and military members are medical professionals. The association has been a member of the AWMF since November 2015 .

The association is an associated member of the German Society for Aviation and Space Travel. V. and since 1972 so-called "affiliate organization" of the Aerospace Medical Association in Washington DC. She maintains close contact with the German Aviation Medical Association and founded the German Academy for Aviation Medicine (DAF) together with Deutsche Lufthansa AG in 1991 , which among other things also financially supports research projects in the field of aviation and travel medicine; Since DGLRM took over the shares in Lufthansa in 2016, DAF has been a 100% subsidiary of DGLM.

The science award of the German Academy for Aviation and Travel Medicine is named after Albrecht Ludwig Berblinger and is awarded annually. The prize is endowed with 10,000 euros (as of 2019).
