The German Society for Prevention and Rehabilitation of Cardiovascular Diseases eV (DGPR) is the medical-scientific umbrella organization for all areas of prevention as well as outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation in the cardiovascular area . She is a member of the Working Group of Scientific Medical Societies , the German Network for Health Services Research , the Federal Association for Prevention and Health Promotion and a corresponding member of the German Society for Cardiology - Heart and Circulatory Research . Its president is Manju Guha .

Members are the doctors active in cardiological prevention and rehabilitation, the national organizations as carriers of the heart groups at the state level and the cardiological rehabilitation clinics and institutions with related objectives.

The research and development of new methods in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases are among the goals as well as their implementation and dissemination. In addition, there are, among other things, expert work, the publication of written information and the organization of seminars, conferences, congresses as well as training and further education events.

The DGPR organs are the journals Clinical Research in Cardiology (Steinkopff Verlag, Darmstadt) and Herzmedizin (Jürgen Hartmann Verlag, Heßdorf-Klebheim); the DGPR continues to work closely with the Cardio News magazine (Düsseldorf). The membership information document DGPR-INTERN is published for the members of the DGPR . The office of the association is in Koblenz.
