The German Society for Law and Informatics e. V. ( DGRI ) is an association founded in 1992 which, on the one hand, deals with IT legal issues in the economy and, on the other hand, promotes information technology in the legal system . In addition, the DGRI expresses itself on legislative proposals and legal policy issues that affect the company's area of ​​activity.

The chairman of the DGRI is Dirk Heckmann . The deputy chairpersons are Peter Bräutigam and Peter J. Hoppen. Veronika Fischer is the managing director. The DGRI currently has around 670 members.

public relation

The results of the work are communicated through lectures and publications. The company works with the publishing house Dr. Otto Schmidt by cooperating with the magazine Computer und Recht as well as with events on IT law such as the Cologne Days.

Events

In addition to the meetings of the specialist committees, the company regularly organizes congresses and seminars on topics from its field of work. The 23rd three-country meeting took place from June 2nd to 4th, 2016 in Hambach Castle in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse. The 2016 annual conference, with which the 40th anniversary of the DGRI (including its predecessor organizations) was celebrated, took place from November 17 to 19, 2016 in Frankfurt am Main.
