The German Society for French-speaking Philosophy e. V. , in French Société de Philosophie de Langue Française en Allemagne , was founded in January 1997 in Berlin . As a non-profit association , it endeavors to contribute to the spread of French-speaking philosophy in Germany and in this way to promote dialogue with Francophone culture. For this purpose, it works closely with university and non-university institutions and develops its activities in particular within the framework of the Association des Sociétés de Philosophie de Langue Française and the German Society for Philosophy .

Objectives and areas of responsibility

The aim of the society is to promote and disseminate French-speaking philosophy and the Franco-German dialogue in philosophy. The society is a member of the Association des Sociétés philosophiques de langue française (ASPLF) and the German Society for Philosophy (DGPhil).

Board

  • Annette Hilt (Mainz) has been the chairman of the company since April 2017 (former chairmen were Pascal Delhom, Günter Abel, Thomas Gil, Ulrich J. Schneider and Jacob E. Mabe).

Members

Any natural or legal person can become a member of the society . The annual fee is z. Currently 16, - EUR, for students 8, - EUR. A general meeting takes place at least every three years, at which reports on past activities and advice on new projects. At the general assembly , which usually takes place after a scientific colloquium or a conference, the board is elected in accordance with the statutes.
