The DNick Holding is a former publicly traded holding company headquartered in London (administrative center: sword ), whose core the German Nickel 's group.

The group is one of the world's leading manufacturers of special materials made of nickel and nickel alloys as well as metal products. From its administrative headquarters in Schwerte, the company, as a holding company, bundles all of the DNick Group's business activities. The group is divided into the business areas iron-nickel and coin blanks. In the iron-nickel business unit, the group operates with the operating subsidiaries Deutsche Nickel GmbH (Schwerte), Auerhammer Metallwerk GmbH (Aue) and Deutsche Nickel America Inc. (USA).

history

The group emerges from the subgroup Deutsche Nickel of the former VDN Vereinigte Deutsche Nickel-Werke .

In 2005, the current DNick Holding acquired the shares in the operating companies of the non-ferrous metals division of VDN. After the financial liabilities had been restructured into equity, the holding was floated on the stock exchange in 2006 ( open market on the Frankfurt (XETRA) and Berlin stock exchanges).

In April 2011 the company sold its subsidiary Saxonia Eurocoin. At the end of June 2011 it was announced that Wickeder Westfalenstahl and its shareholders had acquired a total of 50.8% of the capital of DNick Holding on the stock exchange. In December 2012, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the Berlin and Stuttgart stock exchanges ceased listing the shares of DNick Holding. Since then, the shares can only be traded over the counter.
