The German chess show "CAISSA" was a German chess magazine that appeared twice a month .

Foundation and content

The chess magazine appeared from December 1946 with four pages in the British Zone of Germany. It received the addition Deutsche Schachrundschau in 1949.

The magazine contained the official announcements of the German Chess Federation and other chapters such as Problemschach , Rundschau and Arbeitsgemeinschaft deutscher Fernschachfreunde (B. d. F.) as well as various articles, for example statistical memories by Friedrich Sämisch .

In the first July issue No. 13/1952 (pages 287 and 288), for example, an essay by Samisch with the title “The glamorous epoch of the twenties” appeared.

The magazine was published by the Dutch journalist Frits Barkhuis. The booklets were published by Verlag W. Hain, Weidenau (Sieg).

The first employees were Georg Kieninger and Walter Loose.

End of self-employment

The magazine appeared until September 1955 (with Kieninger as editor), then it merged with the Deutsche Schachzeitung .
