The German gymnastics and game championships 1942 took place on September 6, 1942 in Nuremberg .
In the most important competition, the Turner Twelve Fight , defending champion Lieutenant Günther Ruising ( Wilhelmshaven ) from the Kriegsmarine won ahead of Karl Stadel , Adalbert Dickhut and Theo Wied . The further ranking: 5th Rudi Gauch ; 6. Werner Pfitzenmeier ; 7. Erich Wied ; 8. Kurt Krötzsch ; 9. Andreas Loibl; 10. Helmut Schmidt .
In the women ’s category , Irma Walther-Dumbsky defended her title in eight combat, ahead of Berta Rupp, Annemarie Held and Irma Bogner.
