Helmut Schmidt (gymnast)

Helmut Schmidt (* 1916 ) was a German gymnast from THW Kiel .

Act

Schmidt was tenth in the German gymnastics and game championships in 1942 in the twelve fight . As a member of the Navy , he took part in the German gymnastics championships in Passau in 1943 and came in 17th place in the all-around competition with 175.4 points. In September of the same year he was in Augsburg at the German gymnastics and game championships in the twelve-battle with 217.3 Points sixth.

From April 8 to 16, 1949, he was trained in Einbeck by Karl Streicher and Olympic champion Walter Steffens . He was counted among the best of the younger German gymnasts and was supposed to take part in an exhibition gymnastics at the end of the course.

In October 1951 he did gymnastics with the German team in Kiel's Ostseehalle .
