German music award

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The German Music Prize was founded in 1979 by the German Music Publishers Association (DMV) and the General Association of German Music Shops (GDM). This music prize is intended to honor "special services to German music".

The DMV has been awarding the award alone since 2008; the jury consists of the association's board of directors. The endowment was most recently 10,000 euros (2012).
