The German Rock'n'Roll and Boogie-Woogie Association eV . ( DRBV ) promotes rock'n'roll and boogie-woogie dance sports in the popular and competitive sports sector in Germany . It was founded in 1983 and is based in Augsburg .

The DRBV is affiliated to the German Dance Sports Association as an organisationally independent professional association with special tasks and a member of the German Sports Association. Internationally, he represents Germany in the World Rock'n'Roll Confederation .

The association consists of various regional associations. The organs are the Delegate Assembly (DV) as the highest instance, the Presidium, the Main Committee (HAS) and the General Assembly of the German Rock'n'Roll and Boogie-Woogie Youth. The Sports Committee (SAS) and the Youth Committee (JAS) exist as permanent specialist committees.

Tournaments

The DRBV coordinates the most important German tournaments in the dances rock'n'roll and boogie-woogie, both for couples and formations . International tournaments are also regularly coordinated by the DRBV in Germany. The event is usually carried out by local dance sports clubs.

In the course of this activity, the DRBV also publishes the German rankings in these disciplines. as well as the lists of German champions and international titles such as world championship titles of the World Rock'n'Roll Confederation .

  • The formation Rock'n'Roll DreamTeam was 2007-2010 four-time German champion and three-time world champion (2006-2008) in the master class Rock'n'Roll.
