meaning
In Central and Eastern Europe and the CIS , the German language also plays an important role in science and business. In order to use this potential for cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany, the DAAD has been funding German-language courses at universities in this region since 1993.
These courses enable local students to acquire an education, often in cooperation with German universities, combined with consolidating the German language. German-language courses also offer German-speaking students the opportunity to gain experience abroad and at the same time to complete an international course without language barriers in lectures and exams. Business administration alone can be learned in German at over 40 different universities around the world.
