The Deutz D 25 is a Deutz brand tractor from the Deutz D series , which was produced from 1959 to 1965 in the Deutz works in Cologne .
The 25 PS strong air-cooled two-cylinder engine with swirl chamber injection and Einlochzapfendüsen had a flywheel with cooling fan and aluminum pistons. The injection pressure of the D 25 was 125 bar . A pressure of 20-28 bar could be generated with a compression ratio of 20: 1. The 10th gear of the tractor has been properly locked. Also received the 5-speed transmission , which consisted of five forward gears and one reverse gear, a gear unit . The maximum speed of the tractor was approx. 20 km / h in forward gear and approx. 2.6 km / h in reverse. A year after production began , the Deutz D 25 was equipped with a more powerful engine that had more stroke and a larger bore. Due to the larger displacement of 1700 cm³ , the output increased by several kilowatts. The D 25 also had a single-disk dry clutch in the flywheel type from Fichtel & Sachs .
The 2750 mm long and 1590 mm wide Deutz D 25 had a dead weight of around 1320 kg . The finish of the D 25 also changed in 1962 from leaf-green with traffic red rims to emerald green with bright red rims. An independent mower drive with 1059 rpm, a front axle with rubber-sprung steering arms and a differential lock with foot actuation and automatic disengagement were also part of the equipment of the Deutz D 25, such as a geared handbrake and a three-pedal brake with automatic brake compensation, as a steering and driving brake. In addition, the tractor had a signal horn , two headlights with high beam, low beam and parking light, operating hours counter, indicator system and two tail lights with brake and license plate lights . On request, a rear power lift with a maximum lifting force of 11,700 N, a Fritzmeier convertible top with a safety panoramic window and a spring-loaded hollow seat with support and backrest were also available.
