The Deutz D 2506 is a Deutz brand tractor from the Deutz D series , which was produced from 1968 to 1974 in the Deutz works in Cologne . The D 2506 was the successor to the Deutz D 2505. The tractor developed as a farm tractor was equipped with a newly designed engine , angular sheet metal cladding and a front axle bracket that could carry up to 11 ballast weights with a load of 22 kg each . At the beginning of the production of the D 2506 the tractor was equipped with the Deutz TW 25.1 gearbox . After the revision, a Deutz TW 25.2 gearbox was installed. Both transmissions used were equipped with PTO shafts. The completely newly developed F2L912 engine of the Deutz D 2506 had two cylinders , direct injection and air cooling . The Deutz 2506 was the first tractor in the D 06 series with this engine. At 2,100 revolutions per minute , it had a nominal output of 22  hp (16 kW). With a length of 3340  mm and a width of 1535 mm, the empty weight of the tractor was 1710 kg. The top speed of the Deutz D 2506 was 25  km / h . In 1974 the Deutz plant stopped production of the D 2506 without a successor.
